Chiellini Call Suarez Excessive Sanctions

Chiellini wrote his opinion about Suarez sanction through his personal website.

Italian national team defender, Giorgio Chiellini, assesses four-month ban imposed on Suarez for biting exaggerated shoulders.

Having proven bite, Suarez FIFA prohibits engaging in any activity relating to football until the end of October 2014.

Chiellini commented that the sanctions to Suarez is excessive.

He said do not feel happy, angry or want revenge on Suarez.

Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona also voiced support to Suarez and said such sanctions is unfortunate.

Suarez who has flown back to the capital city Montevideo Uruguay previously denied the allegations and said he and Chiellini just collided.

Suarez was also banned for nine international matches and fined £ 65,680 (R1, 3 billion).

On his personal website, Chiellini said, "I firmly apply the basic offense, but at the same time I also think the sanctions were excessive."

"There is no anger for Suarez, only disappointment would be defeat. Luis and I pray for his family," said Chiellini.
"He may be allowed to not follow the practice session."

"His condition will continue to be monitored, but (team doctor, Jose Luiz) Runco said not to worry about his condition."
